No confusion
It seems to me that anyone who’s been following my blog entries, say the last couple of dozen, should not be confused by yet another shot of water with reflections of trees appearing upside down in the water, in this case, we’re looking at Ward’s Pond but it could as easily be Jamaica Pond. The truth is even I begin to feel like these shots are getting a bit familiar.
Yet I continue for several reasons. First, and perhaps most important, because I like these shots! Duh, that should be obvious! I can make a case that even though the general theme of many of these shots is the same, the ones I highlight are distinct and worthy of your eyeballs!
The other, perhaps more personal reason is that while this series of images seems to be completing itself, I am less clear what is coming next. So perhaps during this betwixt and between period, I am doing over and over again what I have become comfortable doing. It’s a way to keep making images even when I’m not sure what direction they will take me.
But, intellectualization aside, I like this shot and on one important level, that’s all that counts! What do you think??
