The last one...?

Since I no longer live near Jamaica Pond, I’m not sure that I’ll have an opportunity to capture this overhanging branch as frequently as I have in the past decade. So that explains why I’ve chosen this image, marred though it is by the shadows.

I do enjoy the abstract geometry of the branch and those in the water as well. (They’ve been there all through the winter; I wonder how much longer they’ll stay afloat.) But the shadows distract, at least in my view. Shadows are hard for me. Generally when I shoot, I tend to not see the shadows, which can cause problems (such as I at least see in this image). I would mind them less if I had made a choice to include them, rather than simply not noticing them.

Still, there’s something here worth looking at, for a variety of reasons.
