Surprise

When I’m shooting in the Arboretum, it’s easy enough to take a picture of the identification label that virtually all trees and shrubs have. That way I will have a record of what tree I’ve captured. And then there was this tree, which didn’t have a tag. It seems to happen from time to time.

At the moment, I thought I’d remember the location, but of course, that was a fond hope. I know it’s on the Peters Hill side and that does narrow it down, although it still leaves a lot of territory. I’ll have to live with no re-visiting this fellow.

I like this image and I do wish I knew the tree’s name. It seems a bit impolite, if that’s the word, to post this without at least a surname. But that’s what I’m doing. I’m sure it will bother no one other than me.
