Found wonder
I was walking around the community garden one afternoon before a hard frost had set in. Lots to look at when the season is winding down - there are 30 or so garden plots with 30 different approaches to growing food. Someone had left a bunch of fading flowers, sitting unceremoniously on a stump. I don’t know what sorts of flowers they were, but they caught my eye.
Look at this brilliant array of…whatever it is! Such an excitement of color and form and texture! Luckily I had a camera with me, I mean my phone, ideally set up to capture this. And this accidental bouquet was just sitting there, as if waiting to be noticed!
This is what I love - coming upon a frame’s worth of unexpected beauty and being able to grab it, to remember it, to celebrate it. I love the images that I carefully plan and capture. And I love the ones I come upon, when I’m present enough to see them!
