Broken reflections
The more I look at this shot, the more I see. There seem to be two surfaces – the reflective water and the opaque ice. Their interplay adds to the complexity of what’s there. The ice is no longer solid, broken into fragments across the Pond. As I look close to the shore, there is a confusion of branches and leaves playing in a mix of water and ice. There is movement here, as wind plays on water.
My ability to slow down and remain attached only to seeing clearly - that helps when looking at an image like this one.
