Branches in winter

There are certain trees that have especially sinuous branches and the best time to notice them is in the winter, when the leaves are down and there’s little undergrowth to block the view. I came upon this tree off the path on the Pinebank Promontory.

I’m not sure this image captures what I wanted, which was the graceful dance of limbs. I can usually tell that if I really need the exact right words for an image, that the image is not carrying its load.

Still, it’s a sweet looking tree…
