Persistance

I’m not exactly sure but this looks to me like a cedar tree.. I seem to remember the inner bark that was an almost shocking red.

That was just the first thing that caught my eye. It was as much the shape of the tree, a mix of graceful and tortured. Layers of bark are missing, yet there is a lush collection of leaves (which you can’t see, which I’ve cropped out for esthetic reasons). That suggests a vibrant, living, growing tree, no matter what appearances suggest.

Trees are pretty complicated organisms and I am in awe of their ability to flourish after all sorts of adversity. This tree reminds me of that.
