What's important?

A socially distant visit to Woods Hole brought me to the Eel Pond, which had become a temporary parking lots for small boats of all sorts. It was toward the end of the day, approaching what is called the “blue hour” even though it doesn’t last an hour and it’s just a blue tinge.

I wasn’t particularly interested in the boats, most of which seemed utilitarian and relatively new, so the features that would ordinarily interest me - chipping paint, rusting metal, and the like - were generally not in view.

Yet the water was moving and with the movement, there were the familiar ripples and sinuous shifting in the water. Now, that I found interesting! Now please pardon me if you’re a boat-lover and wished to see the boats. Maybe next time!
