Summer Reflections
I suppose it ought not surprise me that the colors of the reflections in my ponds is very different in the summer. I started this project in the fall and many - perhaps most - of my shots tend to tip toward fall and winter: browns and oranges and reds as you can see in this portfolio.
But for the first time, Iām noticing the infinite shades of the green of summer show up. Perhaps in part it results from walking around other, smaller ponds, like the one in Forest Hills Cemetery where this image comes from, or Scarboro Pond in Franklin Park.
Whatever the reason, this feels like a new adventure, or at least an interesting side-exploration. What had seemed to me to be a bit rote now has life back in it! I like that.
