Every moment
I’ve taken probably hundreds of pictures on this beach in Woods Hole. Each one is different, reflecting such a complex mix of variables - phase of the moon, time of day, weather, on and on. That makes each one unique.
That doesn’t make each one an equally valuable and interesting work of art. And I confess this shot may not be the most evocative of the ocean’s inexorable power. (And just for the record, it’s Buzzards Bay…)
So, why post this (other than that I’ve not been shooting much lately so this is my favorite of those I’ve got to choose among)?
This shot was one among half a dozen taken within seconds of each other. The rocks, the surf, the sky are elements in each shot and yet each one is completely different. After a moment, everything changes.
I think that’s worth noticing and remembering. And I kind of like this one!
