More yellow...

It’s been more than a year that I’ve been walking around Peters Hill every morning. And while I do believe that messing with our clocks in the fall is foolish, it does mean that now I’m walking when the sun is already mostly up and about.

It’s been a year and I know because I took one of my favorite shots of the gingkoes just as their leaves had fallen off, seemingly all on one frosty night. And this morning, a year later when I walked, having been away for a few days, the scene was almost the same.

The leaves had fallen but retained their striking yellow color, which when combined with early morning light, made a picture this image only begins to capture. It’s worth getting up and out just before the sun is committed to shining so you can see the world as it awakens. It’s a delightful perspective and the difference between image and reality.
