Somewhat far afield from what I usually shoot. I was walking to a park near my daughter’s house near Philadelphia, looking for trees with interesting bark. I found many, actually, but I also found this power line pole. The end of the line, didn’t seem to go anywhere.

I shot it on the spur of the moment - why not, after all, that’s the beauty of digital, it costs nothing to take one more image.

This image appealed to me - its simplicity, the contrast in the texture between the wooden pole and the twisted wires. And, as framed, it does reflect my love of ambiguity…

That said, I can’t think of anything particularly profound about the shot. I like the framing and honestly, that’s enough for me. No deep message here, just something that’s fun to look at.
