Together

I’ve shot this spruce tree in the Forest Hills Cemetery many times and in many seasons. It’s one of my favorites, in fact one is hanging in my bedroom at this very moment. This morning, as I was out walking, I thought it might be interesting to do a series of shots of the same species of tree – like, for instance, this spruce tree.

So off I went for my weekly walk in the Cemetery to get some images of that and some of the other spruce trees. It was a bright and sunny day, not the best for the sorts of images I was looking for. In order to get the shot, I had to find a shaded area, which was hard but not impossible.

I got the shot and when I processed it in Lightroom, I was struck by how different it looks from the others. Perhaps it’s not surprising – the others were shot in the rain, which makes for a strikingly different image.

I’ve included a link to the other one here – take a look, it’s the second in the series. Let me know what you think…
