Change of Pace

I’ve played with reflections for years, most recently in several portfolios on this site shot mostly at Jamaica Pond. I’ve assumed that that work was done, and it mostly is. But every once in a while, something grabs me, like this broken limb sticking out of the water in Dawson Pond at the Arboretum. It reminds me of a shot I took over a decade ago at Walden Pond.

In any case, I love figuring out what is stick and what is reflected-stick. It’s not too hard to do but it’s a pleasant diversion. And I like that the stick appears to be growing out of the (reflection of) the tree. A bit of visual silliness that makes me smile on a gray morning.
