Two Trees

These are two of my favorite trees - the beech in the foreground and the sycamore in the background. I love the contrast between them. When I first look, I see the white of the sycamore as just background and then it resolves into branches. It requires me to keep looking and that’s an important lesson to learn!

It was hard to figure out the best location for this shot, not least because of the snow on the ground, snow that hasn't melted that much. And there’s a bunch of saplings whose skinny branches got in the way of my shot.

I’m going to keep playing around with this viewpoint in hopes of getting a better shot, although this one is really interesting to me. What do you think?
