Right side up

This is a shot of the tops of trees on one of the small islands in the pond in Forest Hills Cemetery. It tickles me that it’s right side up, quite a departure for me. So many of my recent shots involve reflections that when I looked at this, at first that’s what I thought it was. But no, it’s not! The sky when it’s not reflected has a sharper edge to the clouds, if that makes sense.

It is a comfort, after the distortions of looking into the water, it’s a comfort to see well defined branches. It’s like seeing clearly after a time with impaired vision.

So my surprise for today is a picture that has no reflections and yet looks very similar to those that do. Take it for what it’s worth!
