Winding road

A beautiful, sunny morning, one of several we’ve been blessed with lately. A perfect day for a walk in the woods. I suppose this place qualifies, technically, as woods - after all there are trees, that’s pretty much all that required, right?

Thing is, this is in the city so some judicious framing was required to eliminate the roadway and the train tracks. But, honestly, it’s not that hard to do. This is the Arboretum, a glorious mix of “outdoor tree museum” and not-exactly wilderness. An easy place to get lost in without losing sight of home!

What a delight to have the option of walking on these paths on a mid-week spring morning. I approach solitude in the company of these trees that seem to rejoice at the return of the sun.
